PCTI Temporarily Moving to Online Courses
If you have been diagnosed with coronavirus, you are not permitted on the PCTI campus until you are cleared by your doctor with a valid signed doctor’s note. If you suspect that you have been in contact with someone with coronavirus, call your primary care physician or other health care provider immediately.
In response to the emerging outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are taking proactive steps to ensure the health and safety of the campus community.
The CDC recommends the following actions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
- Avoid contact with sick people.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Clean your hands often by washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Soap and water should be used if hands are visibly dirty.
- Please call 211 for more information
PCTI administrators will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to this site as needed. Additionally, please visit The Texas Department of State Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization websites, as they update their sites frequently with up-to-the-minute information.
Students will complete the hands-on portion when they return to the classroom lab, as soon as we’re able to do so.
Students are currently continuing their education from home or, if they do not have access to a computer or the Internet, students will be allowed to postpone their enrollment.
Campuses will remain open virtually. As we make this transition, our instructors and staff will be available to help students with anything that they need.
PCTI will continue to follow strict CDC protocols, including cleaning and sanitizing our campuses.
