Through PCTI’s comprehensive program of theory, lab assignments, and extensive “hands-on” training, students gain the skills and knowledge necessary to perform tasks on personal computer hardware, software, and operating systems, thereby producing students who are thoroughly prepared to become knowledgeable, self-sufficient, and responsible employees in many business sectors. Students learn the latest computer technology and communications methods and prepare for the A+ Certification exams so that they are fully prepared to enter the workforce.At PCTI, the focus is always on the student. We provide individual attention that students need to be successful in the program and beyond that includes tutoring and mentoring. The job readiness, career counseling, and job placement assistance offered at PCTI allows each student to explore the career of their choice and locate positions available in their program of study.

Objective: The objective of this program is to provide intense occupational training in a wide range of comprehensive computer courses designed to prepare students for employment in information technology occupations. Students will learn to operate and repair computers, master software programs, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, develop professional workplace skills, develop interviewing skills, and learn to conduct effective job search techniques.Occupations: Computer Help Desk Technician, Computer Repair Technician, Computer Software Specialist, Networking Technician, Administrative Support Technician, and Customer Service Representative in computer hardware and software companies, oil and gas corporations, hospitals, law firms, nonprofit organizations, public and private schools and universities, retail companies, the airline industry, and many other small and large companies.

Prerequisites: High School Diploma, or GED, or equivalent of a high school diploma from a home school.
